The name of the third annual Black Heart Haiku Contest winner…
Sorry to get you all riled up, but it’s a tough decision and we want to be sure to pick the best of the best. Also, this week has been Birthday Week down at the Black Heart ranch, which means I’ve been on a cake-eating, vodka-swilling, stationery-ordering, ebook-discounting bender. Once my brain has returned to its natural editorial state on Sunday, it’ll be back to business as usual, which means serious things like Haiku Contest Winners can be discussed with the necessary gravitas.
In the meantime, the countdown to November – i.e NaNoWriMo – has begun. I’ll be writing a sexy murder mystery that’s been given the working title The Case of the Cunning Linguist. If you’d like to friend me on the NaNoWriMo site to follow my progress or challenge me to word wars throughout the month, I’m listed under my alter ego ValCapone.
Finally, if you’re a budding NaNo novelist and would like some tips on how to properly prepare for this month-long celebration of literary madness, feel free to pop on over to Buttontapper Press to read more about how I’m gearing up for my 1,666 words per day, or to link on over to Chuck Wendig’s blog for bazillions of great ideas on succeeding in your authorial mission.
That’s the news for now, Lit Lovers. I’ll Lobster Telephone you next week with that contest winner, so have your smart phone put this site on speed dial to be the first to know who’s been crowned Haiku Champion of 2013!
