8/9 – Memoir (and) Prize for Memoir in Poetry or Prose

Been working on your memoirs? This week’s contest is for all you autobiographers out there, and features some sweet prize money from the Memoir (and) peeps. With no entry fee, it’s a great opportunity to get your work circulating.

Visually inclined writers may also want to submit a photo or other graphic entry for the contest’s visual component, with potential for $100 extra in prize money.

Memoir (and) Prize for Memoir in Poetry or Prose

Prize: 1st = $500 and 6 copies of the journal, 2nd = $250 and 6 copies, 3rd = $100 and 3 copies

Entry Fee: None!

Word Count: memoirs in poem, short story or essay format of up to 10,000 words (prizes also available for Best Graphic Memoir and Best Photography)

Deadline: August 15, 2010
