8/2 – Jerry Jazz Musician New Short Fiction Contest

If you like jazz and short fiction, then this week’s contest is beboppin’ down your door. Jerry Jazz Musician, an online magazine dedicated to “bringing you the goods on the greats,” is offering a $100 prize for the best short story of up to 1,500 words. The story itself need not pertain directly to jazz music or musicians, but should appeal to readers with interests in music, social history, literature, politics, art, film and theatre, “particularly that of the counter-culture of mid-twentieth century America.”
