Time Was Soft There: A Paris Sojourn at Shakespeare & Co. Time Was Soft There: A Paris Sojourn at Shakespeare & Co. by Jeremy Mercer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you’ve ever dreamt of living the bohemian life in Paris, this book is for you. It made me want to run away to Shakespeare & Company to live the artist’s life, writing my novel in a cramped garret, or perhaps at the bar of a real Parisian café. Or just open my own version of the place here in town. Or visit City Lights, S&Co’s sister bookstore in San Francisco. Whichever way, life would be grand.

A really great tale about what happens when you run away to Paris on a whim, with a mobster hot on your tail, and you suddenly realize you’ve ruined your entire life. But then, your life is really just beginning.

I don’t want to spoil it for you. Just get a copy and read it!
